The new university quarter of Graphisoft Park is now open, the IBS International Business School will also get a place there. This institution carries the good reputation of the city, attracts several foreign students, and many of them choose to stay then, emphasized Mayor István Tarlós during the opening ceremony.
The Graphisoft Park has performed an excellent training taking into consideration both Hungarian mathematical traditions as well as innovative business demands, moreover, it has also paid attention to create an eco-environment. The institution carries the good reputation of the capital city and attracts several foreign students, many of whom choose to stay here, pointed out Mayor István Tarlós. When recalling the history of the City of Budapest and the Óbuda Gas Factory, he also expressed his appreciation that this area plays a significant role in keeping domestic intellectual capacities in Hungary.
The Óbuda Gas Factory was opened one hundred years ago in 1914 by Budapest Mayor István Bárczy. The Graphisoft Park has launched its activities fifteen year ago in the place of the gas factory, and since the establishment its aim was to keep Hungarian IT and technical talents in Hungary. During the development of the park the maximization of green areas and hiding the cars under the surface was a crucial aspect.
Many Hungarian small and medium enterprises, as well as recognized multinational companies have followed the founder Graphisoft and located their development and commercial headquarters here. All these facts have played a significant role in the decision-making of IBS International Business School, which then has chosen the Aquincum Campus, to provide there its students from 65 countries with decent conditions for studying.
