Instead of the previous complex system with 27 types of parking zones in total, the Municipality of Budapest introduced a transparent, unified parking system consisting of 4 zone types. The purpose of the unified system is to provide car drivers an easily understandable zone system. The unified system also includes a renewed information system. The new pricing is aimed at a faster replacement of cars, thus better utilization of parking spaces.
