Lots of people had visited the spas of Budapest during 2014. Those 12 thermal baths had welcomed 3.5 million visitors over the year. Compared to the numbers of 2013 it is a 6.5% growth.
Out of the above-mentioned baths, the Széchenyi Thermal Bath had received an outstandingly high number of visitors, and it has also gained world-wide fame again, since the picture taken of its widely known premises has ranked first in the photo competition of National Geographic magazine.
Among the development plans for 2015 there are projects of enlargement as well as technical refurbishment for several baths. In March the renovation of mechanical premises of the Széchenyi Bath will take place, and in September the enlargement of Dagály Bath will start, moreover the Palatinus and Paskál Baths will be prepared for winter conditions.
