Since February 6th the deep-level garage at Rákóczi square is open, its 3800 sqm area offers 98 parking spaces, cost HUF 1.2 billion, and serves the parking demands of the Market Hall, as well as the nearby station of Metro Line 4 – said Mayor István Tarlós during the facility’s opening event on Wednesday.
With regard to the Metro Line 4 investment István Tarlós has announced that the completion of the structure has reached almost 100%. “The stations, having no cause to be built so wastefully”, and the tunnel have nearly been completed, by now there are only smaller repairs and corrections under guarantee to conclude. The refurbished market hall at Rákóczi square has already been completed and is reopened.
“I hope the opening of the garage also indicates that the leaders of the City of Budapest, BKK and BKV are indeed making strong efforts to develop the city, so that people living here, coming to work or visit find it more aesthetic, more pleasant, and when arriving here they see that transport is easier, and parking is not a never-ending search for free spaces”, commented the Mayor.
