Increased and harmonized police patrol in Budapest during the tourism season

The Budapest Police and Municipality of Budapest will do their best also this year, in order to make the city more attractive and safe for visitors.

They will pay a great attention to the roll back and recon crimes, which occur especially during this period, like organization of prohibited gambling, trickery and theft of high-value cars, or prohibited lechery and pickpocketing at mass events.

In public places, which attract large numbers of people (such as the Buda Castle, the Citadella, and their surroundings, the historical city centre, the Margaret Island, the Heroes’ Square, the City Park, the metro stations and underpasses) the police will ensure public order, personal and property security through increased and harmonized patrols and checks.

In the daytime, police officers will provide visitors with multilingual information sheets at their Heroes’ Square information centre.
