We may say that we are living in a theatre-loving city, and what gives proof of this, if not the number of sold tickets, which equals the city’s 1.7 million population”, emphasized Miklós Csomós.

The Hungarian Showcase has been realized with the support of the Municipality of the Ctiy of Budapest, and foreign foundations, cultural institutions.  Among the VIPs were Philip Arnoult, Director of the Center for International Theatre Development and Barbara Lanciers,  Programme Director of Trust For Mutual Understanding. During the eight days of the event visitors could choose from 20 performances presented in English language with interpretation. Apart from the performances, there have thematic discussions taken place as well.
