Budapest will host the Hungarian-Croatian jointly organized European Women’s Handball Championship next year

The European Handball Federation (EHF) and the Hungarian Handball Federation (MKSZ) held an international press conference in Hotel Hilton on March 9, where the City of Budapest was represented by Mr. Tamás Szentes, vice mayor for sports. The sports event of great importance will be jointly organized by Hungary and Croatia, Budapest will host the semi-finals and the final. 

The European Women’s Handball Championship 2014 is an important milestone for the Hungarian Handball Federation, which celebrates its foundation’s 80th anniversary this year. EHF also announced that Budapest has good chances in bidding for hosting the first four finals of the Women’s Champions’ League possibly in the 2013/2014 season.
