The Budapest Zoo has concluded an agreement with the five most important national lobby organizations of people with disabilities. According to the agreement, those who possess an ID with a photo, issued by the above mentioned organizations, as well as those who accompany them will receive reduced rates, they all will receive 30% discount on current ticket prices.
Besides, the Zoo pays attention to help people with disabilities, so that they can reach every facility or exhibition place, moreover, for people with low vision, tangible animal sculptures and labels with Braille letters on it will be installed within the area.
Asha is 100-day-old
Asha, the elephant cub bor non February 14th, turned 100-day-old today. On this occasion she and her mother, Angele, have received special cakes. The cakes were prepared by the employees of the forage kitchen, from cooked rice, carrot, beetroot and kiwifruit. The gastronomic piece of work has been prepared carefully and placed on the animals’ yard, and only then the animals were let out from their houses.
Three more lion cubs
On May 24th the youngest lion cubs of zoo were introduced. They are the youngest, since on February 15th Shirwane and Basil have already had four cubs. In the meantime the other female, Kankai, has also had its own cubs. The newborn lion cubs will receive their first vaccination, when theyl will reach two months, in the middle of June, only then it will be possible to catch them and properly examined. At that time their sex will be surely known, and so they will receive their names.
