Hakuna Matata! It is the name of the Budapest Zoo’s female newcomer. Many may be familiar with the phrase chosen as the name for the animal, since it is used in every part of East-Africa, where swahili is spoken. The phrase means „no worries”, „There are no worries”.
The animal was born on 21 January 1996 in Hannover Zoo, however she has spent most of its life in Nürnberg Zoo, where she has been accommodated in autumn 2001. On Thursday she has been transported from Nürnberg to Budapest, where there are gorillas since 1989.
