From the second Sunday of Advent the Christmas tram has reappeared on the Promenade on the Pest side and Buda side. The so-called “light tram” runs for the fourth year in a row. Also called the “winter jewel”, this UV-series vintage tramway is decorated with an altogether 3500 meters long string of 39.200 cool white and blue LED lights, and its passenger cab has Christmas decorations.
It carries passengers from Monday to Friday via line 2A, on Saturday and Sunday via line 47, and between Christmas and New Year’s Eve via line 19 (on 24th December Christmas Eve, and on 31st December New Year’s Eve the tram is not running).
