The 2024 Budapest Olympic bid and the venues of next summer’s World Aquatics Championships, together with the new Dagály Swimming Complex, are introduced in the interactive visitor’s centre. Both facilities, 200 sqm each, have been built on a 700 sqm barge at the dock of Batthyány tér. The centres were opened by Mayor István Tarlós and Balázs Fürjes, Commissioner of the Olympic Bid.
Visitors can get acquainted with the potential venues of the 2024 Summer Olympics, and they can also see how Budapest and the country would look like during the Games. Besides, with the help of special VR headsets people can take a look at the inside of the construction area of the Dagály Swimming Complex, and can sit into an exhibited motorboat to watch a 3D film on the World Aquatics Championships’ venues. Visitors can also try water table football, and other quiz games about the Olympics and water sports.
Both pavilions are available free of charge every day from 11 a.m. till 19, to introduce the facilities of the World Aquatics Championships and the 2024 bid, through the most modern devices, both in English and Hungarian languages.
