The cooperation of Warsaw, Bratislava, Prague and Budapest

The capital cities of Visegrad Group member states will work together to obtain European Union funding for capital and metropolitan cities during the organization's of 2014-2020 budgetary cycle – as it was the aim of the joint statement accepted by Warsaw Mayor Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, Bratislava Mayor Milan Ftáčnik and Budapest Mayor István Tarlós.

The parties have agreed to extend their cooperation for experts as well. With regard to such discussions of experts, they jointly emphasize the importance of public transportation and energy, and especially gas emissions reduction, added Mayor István Tarlós. The capital cities have also agreed to promote Central European interests within the EU and developing partnerships with countries that are not members of the organisation.
