István Tarlós, Mayor of Budapest has received Hanoi Mayor Mr. Nguyen The Thao, and prior to that the parties have signed an agreement of cooperation in the Presidential Palace.
Nguyen The Thao has thanked the Hungarian party for the heartfelt and solemn welcome. The Mayor of Hanoi has recalled that the cooperation between the two countries is more than sixty years old now.
The relations with Vietnam are extremely important for Hungary, said István Tarlós during the discussions. He also added that in the cooperation of these two capital cities important areas are culture and city management, and especially operational experience in the field of water works.
The parties have agreed to fill the cooperation agreement between the two cities shortly with new content, so that the Budapest Waterworks and the waterworks of Hanoi, the HAWACO may sign an agreement of cooperation, which allows the parties to conduct transfer of technologies and training of experts.
