Budapest is planning a major international conference starting from 2021 under the working name of Budapest Forum. Budapest plans on offering a platform for discussion on the major problems in the country and around the world, and in cooperation with domestic and international partners, bringing the leading thinkers to Budapest.
The profile of the Budapest Forum: Building Sustainable Democracies
The Budapest Forum will be highlighting three key, interlinked challenges of our times:
Rebuilding and strengthening liberal democracies in an age of populism, from the bottom-up;
Societal and policy responses to rapid technological change;
Climate change and sustainability.
The events would reflect on the actual national and international developments, and so the title of the first forum to be organised in Spring 2021 will be "Budapest Forum 2021: The Future of Democracy".
